In the EU believe the wrong approach is the recognition of the occupation of Donbass

“LDNR” also should not be considered as those which fall within the area of responsibility of Russia, according to Europe.

The EU believes that the DNI and the LC should not be considered as occupied and those which fall within the area of responsibility of Russia.

This was stated by the head of the EU delegation to Ukraine Hugh Mingarelli in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

At the same time, he noted that these territories belong to Ukraine and must do everything possible to Ukrainian authorities as soon as possible to regain control over them.

“Some regions of Donetsk and Luhansk regions are not under carcontroller the Ukrainian government, but they should not be considered as occupied and those which fall within the area of responsibility of the Russian Federation. This is the wrong approach.

In his opinion, to solve this problem is possible only through the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
