Major archaeological treasures caught in the area of orlické mountains is quite rare.
For finding the owner of the dog paid the premium $ 360.
The historic discovery was made in the Czech Republic an unusual archaeologist – the dog named Monty. The animal dug up a cache of artifacts from the bronze age, which for many centuries has lain in the orlické mountains.
The owner of the dog pan Frankoma noticed that the pet desperately digging in the ground, and walked over to see what’s happening. His eyes had a vintage treasure: 13 sickle blades, two end copies, three axes and some bronze forged bracelets. The find was handed over to specialists. Archaeologists noted that the set of objects is rather strange – perhaps they were intended to be used for ritual purposes, including for sacrifices.
All items remained intact, which is very happy historians. Most of the artifacts found in the region, much was destroyed in the ground.
Age finds – about three thousand years. Perhaps, the items belong to the Indo-European culture of Urnfield. It is known that its representatives were cremated their dead, and poured the ashes in urns and buried in the fields – hence the name.
Historians noted that the major archaeological treasures caught in the area of orlické mountains is quite rare. But it is possible – in the deeper soil layers are hidden and unique artifacts.
Found dog, a treasure I plan to transfer to the Museum in the town of Kostelec. The owner of the dog, Monty was given a reward in the amount of 7 860 CZK (about $360).
