In the Czech Republic fined the online service for booking accommodation Booking.com by 330 thousand euros (about 10 million UAH) for unfair competition. About it reports Radio Praha.
According to the Office for protection of competition of the Czech Republic, the service has entered into a prohibited contract with hotels and other agencies, allowing them to offer more favourable prices for accommodation.
According to authorities, the company was forced collaborating with local hoteliers to offer better prices online than on their sites and competing sites. Such treaties were concluded in 2009-2015
