In the Czech Republic there are not enough workers.
The Czech entrepreneurs appealed to the authorities with a request to allow a temporary set of Ukrainian candidates to work in connection with the shortage of workers in the country.
Business representatives noted that the government draft on the legal employment of Ukrainians does not work in practice. Last year the quota was exhausted before June, and issuing a work card for each applicant is up to six months.
According to the Czech Union of entrepreneurs, companies offer 140 thousand vacant positions for employees. Under the current so-called “regime of Ukraine” annually set quota for 3800 employees.
“We urge the government to urgently adopt the proposal to increase the personnel capacity of the Ministries of foreign Affairs and internal Affairs to expedite the processing of a larger number of queries about the employment cards, and to help companies to provide the missing resources to ensure production and services”, – said in a statement.
At the same time, the trade unions consider that business representatives just want to save money, getting cheap labor.
“Often when searching for a professional working professionals are faced with wages about 12 million kroner ($475). For the money, a Czech citizen with a will to live, and it is clear that he is unlikely to agree to such conditions. If the place is not taken then the company can hire a foreign worker,” said Chairman of the Czech-Moravian Confederation of trade unions.
