Astronomers have found a planet with stone showers.

This “light” surface, due to the proximity to the sun, the sea of molten lava with a temperature of up to 2.6 thousand degrees. This leads to its evaporation and lifting up. And then this cloud is moving towards the “dark” side of the GOROT-7b. It condenseries and falls to the planet in the form of solid precipitation, called “stone rain.”
As the astronomers believe, the small particles of molten lava, once in the environment at low temperatures, the ability to gather large stones that just constantly bombard a “dark” side of the planet GOROT-7b covered with ice because it never illuminated by the star system.
Scientists consider, so far only theoretically, the possibility of life forms on the “shaded” side of the GOROT-7b. But serious progress in the study yet.
