A unique find is dated the late fifth Millennium BC.
State reserve “Tripoli culture” in lehedzyne in Cherkasy region exposed the most ancient in Europe the discovery of the seeds of the Fieldfare. It belongs to the late fifth Millennium BC.
“These seeds about seven thousand years was kept in Tripoli pot. The Fieldfare is a medicinal plant. It was drunk as an energy drink – the equivalent of a modern coffee. A decoction of the stem used for dyeing fabrics in red,” says reserve Director Vladislav Chabanyuk.
It is noted that the exhibition was held during the annual holiday “bathed in Legedzino” that in this year dedicated to the theme of flowers and plants in Ukrainian folk healers.
