Construction on land owned by the writers ‘ Union, was unlawful.
The Kiev appeal economic court has decided to demolish unauthorized construction on the land at street, 2, according to the Prosecutor’s office.
The land is in municipal ownership and was allocated in permanent use of the Union of writers of Ukraine for the operation and maintenance of the building which is a monument of architecture and town planning of local value.
However, as it turned out, the private company that leases one of the non-residential premises in the house, illegally added onto the rental premises of another – with an area of about 180 sq. m.
The Union of writers of Ukraine appealed to court with a claim to the society of commitment to release land to bring it into proper condition by demolishing illegally constructed buildings, annexes and summer location for the café on 50 places.
Kyiv economic court of appeal by order dated June 14, satisfied these requirements in full.
