In the center of Odessa in the evening of 20 December there was a lake with hot water and clouds of steam – the reason was the breakthrough of the heating tube.
The incident had flooded the road a few blocks, the basements of houses and a supermarket.
Thick clouds of steam made visibility minimal and seriously hindered the passage of vehicles.
To eliminate the accident, the utility service of heat supply of the city had until late at night.
