The incident occurred on the street Khreshchatyk.
The incident happened yesterday, the 20th of June, at five o’clock, on Khreshchatyk street Shevchenko district of the capital.
As told the Chronicle.info in a press-service GU of the National police of Ukraine in Kiev, the police district police received a report of smoke on the roof of the former Central Department store.
On a scene immediately left investigative team, the leadership of the district police and firefighters. The militiamen then blocked the part of Khreshchatyk and Bohdan Khmelnytsky.
At nine o’clock the fire was extinguished. The fire destroyed the second and third floors of the premises of the Central store, and also damaged the ceiling of the building.
