To quell protests in the capital of Sudan — Khartoum — supplied forces, heard sounds of shooting from heavy machine guns, reports “Interfax” with reference to the channel Al Jazeera.
Special forces have to disperse the crowd of thousands that had gathered in front of the Ministry of defence and the headquarters of the army. People require from the military in April committed in Sudan a coup to hand over power to a civilian government.
By now we know about the death of two people, no less than ten were injured.
According to witnesses, the soldiers used weapons and tear gas against peaceful demonstrators, who took no provocation.
Al Jazeera notes that the action taken after the country’s ruling military called the protesters “national security threat”.
Protests in Khartoum does not end with April, the military repeatedly entered into negotiations with them.
On 11 April the Minister of defence of Sudan Awad Ibn Auf announced the arrest of al-Bashir, who ruled the country since 1989. In the Sudan was formed a military Council, which, as previously announced, will have to lead the country in the next two years, until the formation of a new government.
