In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the events of the Ukrainian revolution of 1917-1921 in Kiev will be established the monument of reunion of Ukraine and monument to the chief ataman of the Ukrainian troops of the people’s Republic of Simon Petliura. This was during a press conference said the Vice-Prime Minister Pavlo Rozenko.
According to the Vice-Premier, the monuments in the capital will appear in the next three years. In addition, Rozenko believes that Ukrainian society is “not well knows the history of 100 years ago”. Therefore, to better inform the public about the events of 1917-1921. this year was declared the Year of the Ukrainian revolution.
“Quite often we are in certain cliches, ideological myths, which was imposed on us by Soviet propaganda in their time on the events of 1917-1921,” – said Pavel Rozenko.
In the near future will create the organizational Committee on preparation and holding of events to mark the hundredth anniversary of the events of the Ukrainian revolution. It will be headed by the Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman and the head of the presidential Administration Igor rainin. The Committee will also include scholars, representatives of Central and local Executive bodies, territorial communities, associations, members of the Council of national unity.
