The case concerns the illegal transfer of land.
The National police carried out searches in the city of Ternopil, said the mayor Sergey Nadal.
“On the morning of 17 March, the special forces of national police before the beginning of the day broke into the premises of the city Council of Ternopil, some of managements and the municipal enterprises of the city, conducted searches and seizure of documents”, – he wrote in Facebook.
He considered the searches the political order and the persecution of representatives IN “Freedom” “for the principled position on the occupied territories of Donbass”.
Edition te.20minut.ua quoted Nadal that searches are carried out in the framework of criminal proceedings initiated in 2015.
On the website of national police reported that the case concerned the appropriation of land plots of territorial communities of Ternopil.
Officials of the Ternopil city Council and they control the officials of the municipal enterprises contrary to the laws of the free passed on to private legal entities in the property objects of the building under the pretext of concluding investment agreements and agreements on the construction of relatively low commitments.
In the future, the land plots under objects of construction should have been free to transfer to bypass requirements on their sale at auction.
The criminal proceedings are investigated under part 2 of article 364 (abuse of power or official position which entailed heavy consequences) the Criminal code of Ukraine.
