Looks stylish and unusual.
This spacious house with an area of 850 square feet quiet urban refuge, located in the capital of Brasilia, just a 10-minute drive from the National Congress of the country. Project authors – architects firm Equipe Lamas considered the house as an organic continuation of the landscape, Cerrado, the Brazilian Savannah, with its bizarre vegetation. Surrounding the Villa garden is embedded in the volume of the building, and extensive Windows unite the interior with the landscape.
A series of reveals at different angles as you move around the house. Large Windows facing mainly to the East and to the West, and the blank walls on the North and South. This orientation creates dramatic lighting effects during sunrise and sunset and opens up views across the entire house.
Isolated from the public areas the bedrooms provide family members peace and privacy. All three bedrooms have terraces and metal lattice for climbing plants. The materials used in the interior, continue colouring the surrounding landscape: the color of the tiled floor and covered with polymer mortar of the walls is repeated on a reddish earth tone Brazil. Window frames and ceiling from the wood of Brazilian walnut enhance the feeling of local identity.
Next to the terrace under the old tree of Jacoby is a rectangular swimming pool white marble of the local rocks and framed by a wooden deck. To create a living and a relaxed mood are used in the interior work of many famous designers and artists, including architect Samuel Lamas, Charles Eames, Jackson Pollock and others.
