In Crimea we found jewelry similar to “Scythian gold”.
In the Crimea in the framework of the archaeological excavations found jewelry, which by their class and level comparable with the Crimean collection “Scythian gold”, located in the Netherlands.
This was announced by Director of the Institute of archaeology of the Crimea Vadim Maiko.
According to him, the excavations were conducted in the Ust-Alma necropolis near the village of Sandy the Bakhchsarai area of Crimea.
“This just finds the class of such plan and quality, part of which is now in the Netherlands… It’s first of all jewellery, including yellow metal,” – said at a press conference Maiko.
As it became known, the findings will join the collections of the Bakhchisaray Museum.
