Archaeologists have found in the Crimea, the tomb of the time of king Alexander the great. All finds will be moved to the Kerch Museum.
In Crimea archaeologists have found a tomb Dating from the second half of the fourth century BC. It was the time of prosperity of the Bosporan Kingdom.
Excavations led by Irina Rukavishnikova, researcher of the Department of Scythian-Sarmatian archeology. She noted that at the burial site found a lot of artifacts of those times – tools, statues, ornaments, glass vases and bronzes.
At the entrance there was a burial of a child, Dating from the first century ad, and was found next to the urn containing the ashes of the cremated person. According to preliminary assumptions, this tomb was constructed for significant personality. In the mound were placed six additional burials of different dates.
Due to the location of the finds – near the driveways of the Crimean bridge – moved to the territory of the Kerch Museum. Archaeologists carefully separate and label design for a complete reconstruction of the crypt.
