Monday, February 13, in the French Alps an avalanche hit a group of skiers and their guide.
As reported by channel BFMTV, at least four of the people died. All was swept away eight or nine people.
The incident occurred on the ski resort of Tignes, at an altitude of about 2100 m. Trapped under an avalanche, the skiers were outside the official route.
Authorities dispatched to the area of the accident helicopter and a rescue team on skis. Search and evacuation of victims becomes complicated weather conditions in the disaster area.
