Two skiers were killed and another four were injured as a result of avalanches in Switzerland. The incidents occurred on the eve in the Alpine resorts of Charmey, château-d’oex, reports swissinfo.ch Sunday, January 20.
So, in Charmey (Fribourg Canton) avalanche fell on the group of 14 skiers, three of them had been carried away by the snow mass. Rescuers pulled from the snow two wounded and one dead 55-year-old man. The victims on the helicopter were taken to the hospital.
And near Chateau-d’oex (Vaud) under snow as a result of the avalanche was buried three skiers who climb the mountainside in the group of seven. Killed 39-year-old Frenchman. Other skiers suffered minor injuries and they were sent for medical examination.
