About 66 thousand people were displaced in connection with the fighting in Northern Syria against militants of the Islamic state.
“The figure includes about 40 thousand displaced persons from the town of al-Bab and the nearby settlement of Tadef, and also 26 thousand people from the settlements to the East of El-Baba,” according to the statement of the UN office for the coordination of humanitarian Affairs.
It is noted that the situation is complicated by the poor condition of transport communications.
