In Switzerland evacuated the U.S. Consulate

Employees found a suspicious package in the lobby.

American Consulate in Zurich was evacuated after workers found a suspicious package in the lobby on Monday morning, reports Blick.ch.

On the package found “anti-American” message, including the words “American company” and “SWAT team” (special unit of the U.S. law enforcement – ed.) and a phone number.

It is reported that the city police of Zurich was called to the scene about 7:45 a.m. local time. The building of the Consulate were evacuated to a police operation.

At the scene officers crime scene investigators, and the area around the building was closed to traffic and pedestrians for several hours.

It is reported that the cordon was lifted around 11:15 local time, and workers were allowed back into the building.

According to media reports, the police found that the contents of the suspicious package was harmless.
