In Spain arrested two leaders of the Catalan separatists

The court of Spain have arrested the heads of the National Assembly of Catalonia and the organization of General culture.

In Spain, the court arrested without the right of bail to the leaders of public organizations advocating for the independence of Catalonia, the National Assembly of Catalonia and the organization of General culture – Jordi Sanchez and Jordi Quiera.

It is noted that they are charged with “incitement to disobedience to the authorities” of their members. We are talking about the basic social structures of supporters of independence of Catalonia, which numbered in its ranks tens of thousands of activists.

The investigators believe is responsible for Sanchez and Cwichura for the events in Barcelona on 20 and 21 September. They, according to the investigators, led by protesters who blockaded a government building in Barcelona, where the Civil guard (gendarmerie) have seized documents concerning the referendum on the independence of Catalonia. The protesters did not allow employees to leave the office buildings with the withdrawn documentation and brought into complete disrepair for several vehicles to the police.

Sanchez and Caesar were charged with premeditated resistance to the authorities carrying out the court order. The investigator explained his decision also by fears that, being at large, the suspects can organize riots, given the generally unstable situation in the region.
