Fraud of the type “your son was a brother-in-law in prison” are becoming cynical in Slavyansk Donetsk region the child, believing the man, who introduced himself as a good friend of mom’s, “lit” boy for nearly 130 thousand hryvnias. The police of the Donetsk region say their memory is the youngest victim of speculators in the same time, the very large amount that was able to lure unsuspecting citizens the crooks.
– On Tuesday afternoon the boy answered on a landline phone. The man who called introduced himself familiar to his mother and said he was calling at her request, and asked the number of his mobile phone. When the con man called back on the phone, he asked the child to collect all the money that is in the house, put them in the bag and pass the taxi driver who will now drive up to the entrance, – tell the police.
Gullible child of the veracity of the caller’s doubt and raked from home saving every penny. The taxi driver drove the boy proudly handed the package with 4.5 thousand dollars, 100 euros and 3 thousand hryvnia. The taxi driver, of course, immediately disappeared, his identity is not yet established. The police called the boy’s mother, upon learning of the situation upon coming home. Law enforcement officers note the special cynicism of the situation: the fraudster convinced the boy to trust him, to tell on the big secret that the money mother needs to give him a surprise gift, and the only reason she didn’t call herself.
– As practice shows, at risk are all categories of citizens, but especially children and the elderly who are accustomed to trust the source – say in GUNP Donetsk region. – Regularly teach to their elderly relatives and children that you should not trust strangers on the phone about how dangerous it is to let the apartment strangers. Ask them to call you every time they call strangers or knock on the door and persistently ask to be let in to the apartment.
