In Scotland banned auto on petrol and diesel

The Scottish government has developed the plan for the “massive increase” in the number of charging stations for electric vehicles, as well as pilot projects to encourage the population to switch to electric vehicles. About it writes The Independent, adding that the Scottish motorway A9 should be the first fully-equipped electric infrastructure.

Scotland’s first Minister Nicola Sturgeon also noted that the Fund will be created for innovation. He will tackle problems related to climate change.

“Our goal is to get rid of gasoline and diesel cars and vans in Scotland up to 2032,” said Sturgeon. The newspaper reminds that in Scotland accounts for less than 10% of the UK car market.

Earlier Bloomberg reported that Britain has forbidden to sell cars on petrol and diesel from 2040. Globalni shift towards electric cars will be a shock for various industries: from oil companies that will suffer from reduced demand on basin, manufacturers of spark plugs whose products are not needed in electric vehicles.

Earlier, the Financial Times wrote that the operating cost of electric vehicles compared with conventional cars next year. Experts believe that the demand for electric vehicles grows, however, buyers underestimate the cost of usage.
