Zakharova called ban St. George ribbon in Ukraine “factor of the impossibility of the reunification of people in a number of regions”
Ban St. George ribbon in Ukraine is an element of hostility and gives a reason to postpone the implementation of the Minsk agreements, said the speaker of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova at the briefing. This is stated in the message on the official website of the Department.
“That now adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine harms not us, but them. Why they do it – the big question. Suffice it to recall the situation with the ban on distribution and manufacture of the ribbons. You know perfectly well what is happening in the Russian Federation, is not in any way affect the internal processes in Ukraine itself, and will have a tremendous negative impact on them,” said Zakharov.
According to her, the prohibition of tape is “factor of the impossibility of the reunification of the people” in the regions of Ukraine.
“This is an additional element of hostility or the factor of impossibility to unite people in a number of regions of Ukraine. This will give more reason to postpone the implementation of the Minsk agreements”, – says the speaker of the foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation.
May 16, the Verkhovna Rada has introduced administrative responsibility for St. George’s ribbon. So, according to the law for wearing a St. George ribbon, not the veterans of the war of the penalty, and in the case of re-use – 15 days of arrest.
