The Russians found another excuse for banter.
In the Spanish town of buñol, about 22 thousand people took part in the annual La Tomatina festival, the highlight of which are the tomato fights. In social networks the Russian users did not like that the EU vegetables crushed just like that, without bulldozers and grocery sanctions of the Kremlin.
Thus, the site El Pais reported that the conduct of Grand event organisers spent €36 thousand for the purchase of tomatoes from €140 thousand of the total budget of the festival.
It is noted that La Tomatina attracts the attention of tourists from all over the world for the past 72 years.
Almost 65% of participants were foreigners, who came to buñol from many countries of Europe, USA, China, Japan, India, Brazil and other countries.
Live from Spain, where people have fun throwing tomatoes, caused a negative reaction in the social network among Russian users.
