In Russia there was a fire at an oil well with multiple victims

The incident happened around midnight, the 10th of August.

The fire at the oilfield, in which eight people were injured, occurred during execution of the works contractor.

Thursday, August 10, at about midnight local time at an oil well in the Nizhnevartovsk district of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug of the Russian Federation there was a fire.

With injuries of varying severity, eight people were taken to the nearest hospital, located in the town of Raduzhny. About it reported in a press-service “the Nizhnevartovsk oil and gas companies”.

“In one of the wells of van-Yogan field in the production of works by the Contracting organization LLC “Integra-Drilling” fire occurred on the oil and gas mixture and the drilling rig. Eight workers of a contractor suffered burns of varying severity. Victims are delivered in medical institutions where they are given necessary help”, – told in the company.

Later it became known that the fire at the field occurred during execution of the works contractor.

On Friday, the investigative bodies of the Russian Federation declared the beginning of check on the incident.
