Investigators in the Orenburg region opened a case after the death of an elderly woman from the shot of antibiotics in June, according to the website of the RF IC.

“A criminal case into the death of 61-year-old woman from injection is the injection of medicines on signs of the crime provided by h. 2 art. 109 of the criminal code (causing death by negligence due to improper performance of their professional duties)”, — stated in the message.
According to investigators, the ninth of June the woman took medicines for the treatment of chronic bronchitis, in the hospital, she decided not to go. Then she turned to the Alexander district hospital in the village of Zhdanivka to make a shot of antibiotics.
Employee of the medical institution made her an intramuscular injection of medical preparations “lidocaine” and “Ceftriaxone” in the treatment room.
It is specified that the man the patient was not issued, did the injection without a doctor’s prescription and also not seen in the lack of female allergic reactions to these medications. Added that after the introduction of the injection, the patient immediately felt ill and died suddenly from anaphylactic shock.
Established that the cause of woman’s death is an acute allergic reaction resulting from injection of medical preparations.
