The security service of Ukraine exposed a network of agents of Russian special services, the organizers of which in Russia were recruited Transcarpathian migrant workers to participate in paid promotions.

“During “seminars” and “conferences” curators put the inhabitants of the region, in particular the campaigning in support of the autonomy of the Transcarpathian region”, – reported on the website of the intelligence services.
SBU documented the illegal activities of one of the leaders of the public organization – a former employee of the Russian special services. In 2015, he recruited several of the inhabitants of Transcarpathia, which for the money agreed to participate in the blocking of roads in the region, the protest against the mobilization and rallies in support of the autonomy of the region, the creation of a “Republic”, “Subcarpathian Rus”. Field investigators of SBU established that the curator gave the agents instructions, which described the details of the organization necessary to the Kremlin protests – from the venue, number of people to the slogans and demands.
The actions of the citizen of Russia, the investigators of management of SBU in the Transcarpathian region qualified under part 3 of article 110-2 (Financing of actions committed to forcibly change or overthrow the constitutional order or seizure of state power, changes of borders of the territory or state border of Ukraine) and part 2 article 110 (Infringement of territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine) of the Criminal code of Ukraine.
