The minimum retail price for vodka in Russia will be set at the level of 219 rubles per 0.5 liter. Such instructions to the Finance ministrstvo gave Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Khloponin.
“This proposal is consistent with relevant agencies and participants of the market”, – said the press Secretary of Khloponin Natalia Platonova.
Currently, the minimum retail price of 190 rubles for a bottle of 0.5 liters.
Minimum prices for vodka in Russia are established with 2009 as a measure to combat “shadow” production.
