At the airport Ermolino in the Kaluga region of the Russian Federation on the runway accident involving a military aircraft and elk.
When landing after performing a training flight the aircraft an-26 was shot down the animal that was on the runway. The collision with the moose was killed. Victims among the passengers there. The plane from colliding with the animals seriously damaged the nose.
The animal could get to the airfield due to the fact that the builders had removed two concrete slabs from the boom and did not replace them.
