The decision came into force
The Ministry of justice of Russia included “Jehovah’s Witnesses” in the list of organizations liquidated for extremism.

The Supreme court previously upheld the liquidation of the organization, “Administrative center of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Russia”, by recognizing it as an extremist. The decision came into force.
The list includes as “Administrative center of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Russia”, and 395 within its structure of local religious organizations.
The Ministry of justice, among other things, charged with “Jehovah’s Witnesses” refusal of their adherents from a blood transfusion.
Overall, according to the Ministry, the work of “Witnesses” “creates a threat to the protection of the rights and interests of society and public security”.
Lawyers of “Jehovah’s Witnesses” rejected all the claims of justice, noting in particular that the refusal of blood transfusion is not extremism.
“Jehovah’s witnesses” say that the decision of the Supreme court for 2277 religious groups of “Witnesses” on the country, bringing together 175 thousand of their followers.
