Putin needs nuclear missiles to political blackmail, not for war, says Borovoy.
Russia will not use nuclear weapons on the territory of Ukraine. This opinion was expressed by “Apostrophe” Russian opposition Konstantin Borovoy.
According to him, nuclear weapons, Moscow is more political blackmail than a real military arm.
“Nuclear weapons are blackmail, it’s a political weapon. It is clear that to use nuclear weapons on its own territory in terms of aggression, the conditions of direct contact with the enemy impossible. The only case when we used nuclear weapons in Japan – it was the remoteness of the fighting. It is clear that the use of nuclear weapons in the Ukrainian conflict or possible future conflict, no one will. But as a political weapon, weapon of blackmail and threats, the hypothetical possibility of use of nuclear weapons is an additional component of the political provocation of the Kremlin” – said Borovoy.
He noted that Russia especially shows that can use nuclear weapons in conflicts with the West.
