In Russia detained ex-MP

The arrest had been made at the request of Interpol.

In Russia, employees of the Moscow police at the request of Interpol detained former member of Parliament, 46 – year-old Oleksandr Shepelev. It is reported by Russian media.

A warrant for the arrest of the MP was issued by the Pechersk district court of Kiev in September 2014.

The former MP is accused of treason, murders, embezzlement and misappropriation of property, money laundering, vehicle theft, escape from prison.
