In Russia closed the case against Microsoft

The company has complied with the requirements of the Federal monopoly service of Russia.

The Federal monopoly service of Russia (FAS) has terminated the proceedings brought against Microsoft on charges of abuse of a dominant position. The company has complied with the requirements of the Ministry, said at a briefing on Tuesday, August 15, Deputy head of the FAS Anatoly Golomolzin.

According to him, Microsoft took steps to eliminate violation of the Antimonopoly legislation, which was confirmed by the submitter of the claim – “Kaspersky Lab” and the defendant.

“The conditions of competition in the market is restored, the warning is fulfilled, penalties will not be applied”, – said Golomolzin.

Previously, “Kaspersky Lab” accused Microsoft of creating discriminatory conditions for the manufacturers of antivirus software, forcing users to abandon alternative software in favor of Windows Defender antivirus.
