Russian agent in the US made a deal with the justice system.
The Minister of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov said that the arrested in the U.S. on charges of espionage Maria Butina made a deal with the investigation after “a kind of torture.” He stated this at a briefing in Moscow.
The Russian foreign Minister stated that “understands the woman”, which “is in dire conditions.”
“Many, many months apply to it a kind of torture: then give to walk in the night, violently interrupting her sleep, then placed in isolation… Well, something else,” he said, adding that this is supposedly done to “break” Butino.
Lavrov said that “will do everything” to bring her back home.
Butina was arrested in the US in July. She is accused of conspiracy to promote Russian interests and activities as a foreign agent without registration. The Washington Post wrote about the funding activities of Butynol Russian billionaire Konstantin Nikolayev. US intelligence agencies are convinced that Butina, as the agent of the Kremlin, tried to get into American political groups.
