The Russian government decided to attract a Dating site “Mamba” to boost voter turnout among young people in the gubernatorial election. If the experiment succeeds, it intends to use during the presidential campaign in 2018, said sources close to the Kremlin.
Dating service “Mamba” has released an application for smartphones called “Together to the polls,” in which young people are encouraged to find a mate, meet in a single day of voting on elections of governors in Russia on 10 September and to vote.
General Director of “Wamba” Andrey Bronetsky told the TV channel that to run this application, it is “recommended” but gave no details. Russian JSC “Mamba” through the Cyprian offshore 31% owned Mail.Ru businessman Alisher Usmanov, said the TV channel “Rain”.
The idea of developing such an application belongs to the technologists who collaborate with the political block of the Kremlin, told the TV channel sources close to the presidential administration of the Russian Federation. The proposal was discussed at meetings in the Kremlin, they decided to try it out in the elections in several regions.
The app is part of the Kremlin’s initiatives to increase turnout at both the regional and the presidential elections in March 2018, said a source channel.
