A man was sentenced to five days.
Sverdlovsk district court of Irkutsk has sentenced to five days of administrative arrest businessman Dmitry Tolmachev. The entrepreneur owns a furniture shopping center “Moscow” on the territory of which on 4 November, a meeting of opposition leader Alexei Navalny and his supporters.
“The court recognized Tolmacheva guilty under part 2 of article 20.2 of the administrative code (organizing or conducting a public event without filing in the prescribed manner notice of the public event) as an entrepreneur provided he owns the land to conduct private meetings with Bulk”, – quotes the Interfax the lawyer of the businessman.
A day earlier the same court in Irkutsk sentenced to seven days administrative detention of the coordinator of the local headquarters of Sergei Bespalov Navalny for organizing an unauthorized rally of the opposition.
Activists stressed that the performance of the Bulk of November 4 was organized on private property, therefore did not require approval.
According to “OVD-info”, the organizers even decided to restrict entry to a meeting (to attend the event could only ticket holders) after “this little piggy bounce from the Irkutsk mayor’s office to negotiate a rally at the municipal playgrounds.”
However, the police still considered the event an unauthorized rally.
Saturday mass-media in Perm reported that the police came to search in the local headquarters of the Bulk. Meeting with opposition in the Perm must go through 24 November.
The tree in Izhevsk
Simultaneously it became known that another attempt to meet with the Bulk of private grounds, turned to the organizers of the problems with law enforcement.
As reported by “the Media”, in Izhevsk criminal case for the felled tree on the private grounds of the house, who held a meeting with opposition leader Alexei Navalny.
The decision to grant land near the house in Izhevsk for the rally of the opposition on 11 November was attended by the local HOA.
In the end, the coordinator of the local headquarters of Navalny, Sergei Urbana was fined 28 thousand rubles. The resident of the house Mikhail Nazarov, to collect signatures for the meeting, was summoned for questioning.
“Law enforcement agencies call, are invited to have been threatened with fines. I have been told that if you do not cancel the meeting, go to jail. Everything is normal,” complained Nazarov on 9 November. Then he also told the police he was told on the basis of a complaint on the sawn for the meeting tree in the yard.
Alexei Navalny actively engaged in the electoral campaign before the presidential elections to be held in Russia in March 2018.
However, as stated by the Central election Commission, he has no chance to be registered because of a conviction in the case of “Kirovles” – a controversial process that took place, as established by the ECHR, with numerous violations of the rights of the defendants.
During the campaign, Navalny holds regular meetings with voters in the Russian cities, however, such actions regularly meet resistance from local authorities.
1 November Alexey Navalny filed a lawsuit to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, where it was argued that the regional authorities do not allow him to meet with potential voters.
“In court we will present ample evidence of how the city administrations across the country are organized, synchronous and explicit instructions from Moscow”, – stated in the message Bulk.
November 8th the Tver court to accept the claim for consideration refused.
