A powerful explosion has reminded eyewitnesses of the mushroom cloud.
At midnight from 22 to 23 September, at Ryazan GRES, a powerful explosion occurred, which injured one worker.
“In accordance with the schedule of generating unit 1 Ryazanskaya GRES was bred in repairs, when you disconnect the boiler of unit at 00:28 in Moscow in a coal mill turbine factory an explosion occurred in the coal-air mixture with subsequent decay of the coal dust,” the Ministry said.
Before morning the fire was liquidated, the plant continued to work. The victim is in hospital in a state of moderate severity.
Investigation of the causes and circumstances of the incident, organized a headquarters for restoration of power.
Eyewitnesses claim that the explosion was like “a mushroom cloud”. The footage, posted online, is seen as over the building up a huge fireball, turning into a cloud of slowly sinking burning wreckage.
According to EMERCOM of Russia for liquidation of consequences of emergency involved 15 firefighters and five units of special equipment.
