Now the garbage will be processed into clean energy.
Lighting of streets in the Romanian city Sejny County of Maramures is due to the electricity produced by the station for recycling.
Journalists write that, thanks to recycling and turning it into electricity, the local authorities managed to solve two city problems – from the city Treasury spent less money to pay the bills for electricity, and the city lost an unpleasant smell garbage.
Experts point out that the city managed to solve the problem of environmental pollution, as the town Sejny is famous for its livestock farms, and the waste is now processed into electricity.
Waste treatment station was built with financial assistance from the world Bank and its total cost is about two million euros.
