The number of parliamentary committees proposed to be reduced.
In the framework of the reform of the Verkhovna Rada will receive a new form of work of deputies – debate, the speaker of Parliament Andriy Parubiy.
At a briefing on Thursday, he listed recommendations provided by the mission of the European Parliament on the reform of Parliament.
“It is recommended that one of the next steps was the finalization of legislation concerning the introduction of such forms of work of the Verkhovna Rada, as the debates. This debate can be of two forms: debate on topical issues of the political agenda of the state, as well as debate with the government to strengthen the control functions of the Parliament”, – said Parubiy.
Such a debate can be held on the initiative of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada or 150 MPs.
In the framework of the reform of Parliament is also available in the following convocation of Rada to reduce to 20 the number of parliamentary committees. Now there are 27, and together with the Special control Commission on privatization – 28.
