Auction house Sotheby’s will auction in Paris, the prototype of the supercar Bugatti EB110 SS 1993 a unique factory modification.
For the car, the mileage of which is 3,300 kilometers, it is planned to gain from 850 000 to 1 100 000 euros. In total, the company produced 36 instances of the model.
Unlike a standard car for sale prototype was originally rear wheel drive. It was used for testing the power plant and homologation.
Later, the supercar equipped with the AWD system and the engine from the prototype EB110 GT, which in 1992 had set a speed record — 342,7 kilometers per hour. In addition, the car received a number of other changes. In particular, for solving problems with the fuel supply it equipped with two fuel tanks, one for each cylinder Bank of a V-type motor, with a single filling hole.
Also the prototype of the EB110 SS was equipped with a modified shift lever and engine cover from carbon fiber. Bugatti EB110 SS driven by a 3.5-liter V12 engine with four turbines, the output of which amounted to 611 HP and 647 lb-ft of torque.
