In Nikolaev militiamen exposed the pseudo-rehabilitation center, where he remained alcohol and drug addicts.
It is noted that during the search the police found in the school 15 people suffering from drug and alcohol addiction. So, in Zavodsky police Department asked a local resident with the statement that it tried to put in one of the rehab facilities of Nikolaev against her will.
After receiving the court’s permission, the police raided a private home in the Ship district of Nikolaev, where it functioned ”rehabilitation center”. Among the ”patients” of the institution was a 17-year-old boy who claims that he’s being held against his will.
“Law enforcement officers found and seized from the criminals of the passport of the persons who were convalescing, but no supporting documents about the legality of the activities of the institution and related documents on the right of their stay there, it wasn’t revealed”, – stressed in the police.
It is also established that the institution created by a group of persons for the content of citizens against their will received a monthly fee in the amount of 3000 UAH and more from relatives. The amount of payment depended on the degree of dependence of the “patient” from drugs or alcohol.
According to the victims, they were not allowed to go outside unattended, to use the means of communication, were forced to read religious literature and to work for free at the company porters, where they were delivered daily.
This fact brought in the Unified register of pre-judicial investigations, pre -, on signs of part 2 of article 146 of the criminal code of Ukraine “Illegal imprisonment or kidnapping”, which is punishable by restriction of liberty for a term not exceeding five years, or imprisonment for the same term”.
We will remind, in Poltava was liberated from the captivity of the people, which, according to them, illegally held in the rehabilitation center for drug addicts “Wave”. About the restriction of liberty, said 21 people from 36 that were in the center. One said that he is a US citizen.
