In Nikolaev drivers of minibuses went on strike

For action by the city Council arrived dozens of drivers working in the bus and demanded to increase fares from UAH 4 to UAH 8.

Hall said that the cost may not exceed 5 UAH.

In Nikolaev at the Cathedral square gathered the drivers of local minibuses, demanding higher prices for travel. About it “Today” reported in a press-service of the Nikolaev city Council.

Drivers said that at the current price of almost all the money spent on gasoline. But officials believe the demand drivers are unfounded.

“Especially for this Department pricing estimate that the maximum cost should not exceed 5 UAH. But there are still ongoing discussions about whether to increase the cost, because the quality that provide drivers leaves much to be desired”, – explained his position in a press-service.

At city hall “Today” reported that the protesters spoke with Vice-mayor Anton Turupalov. Earlier on his page in the social network he also stated that the tariff is absolutely unfounded, and to raise fares, no one is going.

In one of the Nikolaev firms providing transportation services, told us that their drivers were working normally, irregularities and disruptions in the transportation of passengers was not.

“With regard to the action of the Executive Committee, if there were our drivers, only those who are not on shift,” – said “Today” in a telephone conversation and emphasized that the drivers were not demanding the higher prices, but with a request.
Note now the fare in the Nikolaev minibuses is 3.75 grn – 4 grn.

We will remind, earlier in Kherson drivers of minibuses staged a boycott and took to the trails, demanding to raise fare in public transport.
