The estimated number of victims may increase.
At least 22 people died in a ferry accident in North-West Nigeria.
The ferry, which was 60 people, moved down the river Niger.
“Some of the survivors said that the boat collided with a log in the river and overturned,” said an employee of the national emergency management (NEMA) of Nigeria, malam Ibrahim of Hussaini.
Authorities say that the boat could be overloaded. It is also reported that the estimated number of victims may increase.
