In a young man shot on the street at night from ambush; media linked the murder to the Neapolitan mafia, the Camorra.

It is noted that the victim was the son of Raffaele Notturno, local juror and investigator.

The media connects the crime with the Camorra – the Neapolitan criminal structure that exists for several centuries. “Camorra returns to the killings in Naples” – with these words begins the report of the death of Nikola Notturno.

In the summer of 2017 in the South of Italy, the law enforcers conducted a large-scale special operation against organized crime, detained 116 suspected members of the mafia from the various factions, primarily of the Ndrangheta.
