The goal of the March is to honor the memory of Nemtsov in connection with the 2nd anniversary of his murder
In Moscow tens of thousands of Russians came to the March of memory of Russian politician Boris Nemtsov, in a separate column are the Russians opposed to the repression of citizens of Ukraine.
The action agreed with the mayor’s office and involves up to 30 thousand people.
Before the event, one of the leaders of the Russian opposition, the Chairman of the PARNAS party Mikhail Kasyanov provocateur poured green paint.
Participants of the action after gathering in Strastnoy Boulevard went on the route: Petrovsky, Christmas and Sretensky boulevards to Prospekt Akademika Sakharova.
The goal of the March is to honor the memory of Nemtsov in connection with the 2nd anniversary of his murder, “to Express solidarity and support for the ideas of the democratic values and objectives” policy, in particular, to condemn political repression and human rights violations in Russia.
Protesters hold placards with portraits of Nemtsov and quotes from his statements. Many came with flowers, icons of “No to war”, yellow-blue ribbons. The crowd are chanting “Putin is war!” “Russia without Putin!”.
Lawyers mark Feigin and Nikolai Polozov lead a separate column of people who oppose the repression against Ukrainian citizens.
“We’re going to go in the March column of his memory of friends, opposed to repression in the Crimea and for the liberation of Ukrainian political prisoners. It is not a single event or group of people, we, along with all Marchers pay tribute to Boris Nemtsov. Sure that if Boris Nemtsov’s alive, he not only supported us, but also joined our requirements. He was killed because he publicly opposed the war with Ukraine and in support of the persecuted Ukrainians. Best memory of Boris will continue this struggle and its result,” – said Feigin in the comment to UNIAN.
Recall that Nemtsov was shot dead on the Big Moskvoretsky bridge in Moscow late in the evening of 27 February 2015. In opposition were four bullets, he died on the spot.
After the death of the policy it became known that he was working on a report that in the East of Ukraine on the side of the terrorists fighting Russian troops.
