Yashin was found guilty under part 1 of article 19.3 of the administrative code (disobedience to the lawful order of a police officer).
During the meeting, the opposition leader said that the police arrested him after 3 minutes after exiting the subway, even though he shouted no slogans and did nothing that would violate the law.
“I stood on the curb near the building of “Izvestia” and just watched what was going on. Reports of police officers I believe is rigged,” said Yashin.
At the same time, the police said that the politician was among those people who allegedly interfered with the passage.
Later Yashin on his page in Facebook said that he will serve his sentence in the special detention center at the Simferopol Boulevard.
As reported, the Simonovsky court of Moscow arrested Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny for 30 days.
