In Moscow detained opposition leader Udaltsov

В Москве задержали оппозиционера УдальцоваThe opposition held a rally “in support of a broad Amnesty.”

In Moscow at the building of the state Duma of Russia have detained opposition leader Sergei Udaltsov.

This was reported by his wife Anastasia Udaltsova in Twitter.

Himself Udaltsov wrote in his Twitter that holds a picket “in support of a broad Amnesty.” During the picket came to him the Deputy of the state Duma Sergei Shargunov, who was transferred to the “handling of proposals”.

Earlier, on 8 September, Udaltsov was interrogated in Investigative Committee, but refused to testify on the “swamp case”, citing the 51st article of the Russian Constitution, according to which nobody is obliged to testify against himself. According to Udaltsov, the IC staff was interested in the “swamp thing” and they wanted to hear a statement from him concerning “some opposition leaders”.

Udaltsov was released in early August. He was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison on charges of organizing mass riots on Bolotnaya square on 6 may 2012.

Recall the case about mass riots was brought on the basis of the material of the film “Anatomy of protest-2” shown on air of NTV on 5 October 2012. This film was shown made with a hidden camera footage of Udaltsov meeting with a Georgian businessman Givi Targamadze, which allegedly discussed the possibility of organizing the revolution in Russia. In the frame were also Lebedev and Razvozhaev.

Udaltsov has denied all accusations of the authors of the film, calling them nonsense. Georgian politician, in turn, said he was not familiar with the leader of “Left front”.
