Ivanov died from a knife drunken men, protecting the girls.
In Moscow from the stabbing death of 23-year-old athlete Nikolay Ivanov who specialized in walking on 50 km a Fatal blow to a young athlete struck an unknown, who was intoxicated. According to coach Walker, her pupil was trying to protect the girls, molested by a bully.
“I can’t disclose detailed information about the incident until the investigation is completed. I can only say that Nicholas was trying to protect the girls from pestering him bully and received in return a blow with a knife. Then after some time died. Currently under examination, the body is in the morgue” – quoted Frolov TASS.
She added that Ivanov was considered one of the most gifted athletes of Russia in their discipline.
