As noted by the leader of the Liberal party Mihai Ghimpu, the bill directed all parliamentary factions except the faction of the Pro-presidential party of socialists.

The motive for the Declaration of the President’s impeachment was primarily a failure of the head of state to send Moldovan military in international military exercises. The liberal leader also stressed that “the President said he continues to promote in Moldova, the interests of Russia.”

As the speaker of the Moldovan Parliament Andrian CANDU, the announcement of impeachment is a difficult procedure, and it is not limited only to the registration of the bill in Parliament.

“According to the procedure, it is necessary to create a Commission that will study violated if the President is the Constitution and what are these violations, after which the conclusions will be presented to the Constitutional court for adoption of the relevant decision”, – he said.

As reported, Igor Dodon was twice banned Moldovan military to participate in exercises in Ukraine. But the government of Moldova on 6 September adopted a decision according to which the Moldovan military were allowed to participate in the exercise.
