The meeting is closed to the press
In Minsk held a meeting of advisers to the heads of the countries “Norman Quartet” (Ukraine, Germany, France, Russia). This was stated by the head of the Ministry of foreign Affairs (MFA) of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin, reports “Radio Freedom”.
“They speak mainly with an emphasis on safety, with a focus on humanitarian issues. It is very important to us,” said Klimkin. In turn, the foreign Ministry of Belarus said that the meeting of the diplomatic advisers to the presidents of the countries “Norman Quartet” is closed to the press.
We will note, the head of Russian foreign Ministry Sergei Lavrov said that the talks on the settlement in Ukraine in the so-called “Normandy format”, and it is for assistants to heads of state, will resume “soon”.
We will remind, earlier it was reported about the statement of Lavrov that at the forthcoming meeting of advisers of the “Norman Quartet” the main topic will be the exchange of prisoners. “Yesterday, Pavel Klimkin discussed some of the nuances (of the exchange of prisoners – ed.) that do not relate to numbers, but refer to the need to verify some information”, – said the head of Ministry of foreign Affairs.
